Years ago... I saw a post where someone fabricated a structure to provide to protection to the exposed seacock in the center bay of the R27-OB.

For the life of me, I can't fine the post anymore.

Does anyone remember this?

As an alternative for storage in the center cockpit space on an RT27-OB, you may find this of interest.
I just finished this project last weekend. It came out better than I expected.

I found two IP65 (water and dust resistant) large boxes. One holds my tools, the other holds oil, filters, spare parts. I also added a spare prop holder and mounted the spare prop to the shelf.

The shelf provides easy access to the sea valve, and provides protection of the bilge pump, sea strainer and valve. Also makes for easy access to the bilge with a sponge to dry the bilge. It's easier to sit on the shelf then trying to balance on the "wheel wells" when cleaning the bilge.

If anyone would be so gracious as to send me measurements and rough plans, I'd be happy to draft it up in Fusion 360 and post the plans here for all to share in.
