We picked up our new Ranger 27 on 6/29 and took her home for outfitting and loading for cruising. We launched two days ago at Swantown marina in Olympia and are working our way north through Puget Sound, we are now in Gig Harbor. What can I say? The boat is great. We had a 25' C-Dory previously, which is a wonderful boat... but there is much more room now.
We are breaking it in at different speeds, so far fully loaded for cruising, top speed is a little over 20 mph and 2 mpg, at 15 mph we get 2.5 mpg, at 10 mph we get 3 mpg, and at 7 mph we get 6 mpg. No complaints.
Summer is finally here and the weather is perfect. We hope to see other Tug owners on our way north and back again over the next three weeks
