R27 second owner with a broken radio

We just bought our 2013 R-27 (formerly Sine Wave...we haven't named her yet) and the enter button on the Fusion radio doesn't work. I'm a mechanical engineer so trouble shooting is no problem. I've been working with the Fusion rep and we are at the point of needing to send it in for diagnostic and repair. I don't have a proof of purchase for the radio, obviously, since it was factory installed. The unit is still within the three year warranty period, but they may not honor it since I don't have the receipt. Has anyone worked through this yet? Can the Ranger Tug shop help me out? Any idea what the repair costs might be? If the repair cost are over a certain point it might be better to upgrade to the newer head unit now. Any thought would be appreciated.
 
I am sure the factory may be able to help you out with that by verifying the year of the model. I had a friend with a similar issue with their Fusion. Did the master reset etc. The upshot was a new radio.

Good to have you in the Ranger Family. I know Sine Wave and it was well taken care of.
 
Greetings - I forwarded this thread to Richard Becker, Parts Manager at the factory. He contacted Cory at Fusion. Here's Cory's reply:

Hi Richard/Bruce,
The fusion warranty is only applied to the original owner it doesn’t transfer. That being said we will gladly take a look at it and if anyone wants to reply to him with our number (not sure what fusion rep he referenced) and we can try some stuff with him first or most definitely get it in here and take a look. We need model number for sure as it could be a software issue or just a reset. Keep me informed and I will help move along however I can.
