Hi -

Was dry stored for awhile; I've go pretty wimpy toilet feed water on my 2019 R27. Is that most likely
drawn from the smaller strainer - along with the deck washdown? Without trying to trace hoses, that
appears to be the case.

It feels like a lost prime, maybe air leak. Possible the bowel rim needs to be flushed. Have not taken
anything apart yet, appreciate any direction (notice I did not say "input").

More than likely this is just a lost prime. Press and hold the flush button for a minute or so. You should start drawing in good water flow after that time.

To answer your other question, yes the ball valve and strainer feeds the toilet and raw water wash down pump. Make sure that valve is open and also that the boat is in the water. Yes, I've had customer try and flush out of the water before.

One thing we just found out on our new (to us) 2016 R27 is that the toilet does not flush with water when the engine is on. We had the maintenance folks look at it and they said that the water feed for the toilet comes from the same strainer as the engine cooling water and with the engine running, the toilet can't get any water. If the engine is off, the toilet flushes with water but with the engine on, it does not get any "wash" water.

The solution seems to have a separate feed for the toilet. Anyone else have this issue of have any other suggestions?

The setup you have is on most of the inboard tugs. It has presented issues on a few, but more related to engine cooling rather than head function. The thru-hull fitting is a bit undersized and should be larger and this would probably help resolve your issue. Or as you stated installing a second thru-hull specific for your head will definitely resolve your problem, but then you have another thru hull to worry about.
