Hi. Looking at a 2021 r27ob, with lithium option. The house is not Dakota. They are blue, made in China, 150ah x 4
Does anyone else have these? Does anyone know brand? Website?

No. There are no markings on 3 sides of an all blue case. Will be back on boat today, have to disconnect one to see if there is anything on fourth side. I think I have identified, but not rushing to judgement yet. Will follow up with today's discovery.

As a follow up. After crawling the boat with a surveyor, we are even more puzzled by this. The inverter, smart shunt, kisae 1250, ACR, dvsr, posts, wiring, etc all appear to be identical to the "Dakota" circuitry for an LE model. The batteries are the only " one of these things is not like the others". Only one small sticker, indicating made in China, model smt-lfp12v150A,not recognizable certifications or other labels. Did a search could only find one that looked similar, also made in China, called and it's not theirs, because they put a big label on the side. Oddly enough, they were emitting a Bluetooth signal, but no idea what app to use to interpret that signal.

More as this develops. Wonder how many of these are out there.

Could the batteries be replacements?

I'm guessing your batteries are probably Smartec, a Chinese lithium battery manufacturer. They produce baby different versions most of which don't have any markings except on one side. Try looking at model: SMT-LFP4S12V150AH

You could try downloading the "Smartec-BMS" app and see if the Bluetooth synchs up... Though I'm always leary about trying unknown Chinese brand software so keep that in mind if you're going to try it.

I have to wonder if there was a shortage of batteries available at the time of production so the factory had to source whatever they could to complete the build.

thanks for the idea, but even the smarttech has a side label. These have none. I did talk to an importer, who said they might be their battery, as they now have certification and labeling. The importer I spoke to said the pictures I sent them appear to be an earlier (circa 2020) model that was a prototype, and was only to be used in prototyping/testing, and not for resale. But,they couldn't swear to it. There is also no warranty on their prototype batteries.

I too was wondering how they ended up getting shipped out like this, but I have seen stranger things, and the dealer says they came into his shop that way, not an owner mod.

long story short, I won't buy the boat with those batteries.

more when I know it.
