Recent survey alerted to a hazard. The GFCI where the grille plugs in is technically in the same compartment as the fuel tank. The GFCI is not ignition protected. After he raised the issue, I now recall that my previous cruisers that had 120v outlets for deck use had the GFCI located in a sealed deck box that was separate from the fuel tank/engine room.

Is anyone else concerned about this ? Anyone solved this ?

From what I’ve seen of other boats the 2022 and newer models have the gfci outlet in the cave for the transom outlet, with a second outlet hung behind it back in the transom to power the grill.

I may eventually redo mine to move the gfci breaker into the cabin as they’ve done on the newer boats.

The outlet isn’t used much. I’d have to use the outlet and have a fuel leak and trip the gfci breaker for a potential issue. I’m not worried about it.

Also note: there is a safety switch next to the transom sink. With the lid down covering the grill and sink, that switch is depressed which breaks the circuit and de energizes the grill outlet.

Yep, the GFCI in the cave daisy chained to the one under the grille is the only legit solution I could think of. I knew the "lid switch" cut off the grille, didn't know it actually cut off the outlet. I'm not sure how often I might be using the electric grille (I prefer my Magma propane), but if I do I'll likely move the GFCI and stick a standard outlet back there.

I relabeled my 120volt ac panel.

Instead of “grill outlet”, mine now reads “transom outlet” because that’s really what it goes to. The grill plugs into that outlet. As does my laptop when I’m working out of the cockpit. Or in the winter I plug in my bilge heater there.

Rarely do we use the electric grill.
