I'm not a wood guy,so...what wood(s) are used in the dashboard/helm and the aft power distribution panel. Thinking of adding/rearranging and would like to get at least close to what's there.

Happy New Year

Most of the wood I believe is teak in my R29 2017. There are a variety of teak grades and fake teak. I wouldn’t be to picky for the interior since it is just decorative. Some mahogany wood is very similar and cheaper and easier to find. Most non-wood people won’t know the difference. Test out finishes on sample wood first. Teak oil is typically good. Wood color varies a lot depending on age, old growth, type of cut, etc. Don’t expect it to match exactly.

As Mastercraft states in his reply, most of the wood in the interior is either solid teak or teak veneer (plywood). However, the material you reference is 1/8" "fake" vinyl teak veneer. I don't like it and have been replacing it with real 1/8" teak veneer (plywood) that I seal with teak oil. I paint the edges black to match the original look. It looks much better. If you PM me I can send you pictures and more information. Dennis

My Cutwater 28 uses cherry for most of the interior bulkhead. There is hard maple for the trim. The fiddle in front of the sink iss maple for example. The cabinet doors are teak.
