I have a 2019 R29 with Yanmar 6BY.
I know there have been many posts about engine temp and possible solutions. But a question I have for fellow older R29's owners.
What size is your raw water thru hull and strainer?
The engine itself has 1.5" intake for saltwater. However the thru-hull and strainer on my boat are only 1.25". I'm thinking of changing it to 1.5".
Related to that - what material should I use for hose barbs / elbows? And should 90 deg elbows be avoided due to restrictions? The present setup uses a 1.25" fiberglass elbow but not sure where to get those.
