Hi
I am looking for some input on trailer design. I have been looking at different trailers for my R29 and have noticed two distinct differences. The one trailer I am looking at has the support for the boat as a wood beams on edge to support the rear of the tug on both sides. ( I would guess these are approx 4 " X 12 " ) The other type has metal supports with a wood beam on the flat to support the boat. I am concerned that the beam on edge might tend to have pressure from the weight of the boat always trying to push it out,to the outside of the boat, due to the angled shape of the boat. If anyone has either I would appreciate your comments.
Thank you
Mark

This is a picture of an EZ Loader trailer that was set up specifically for my R27 by EZ Loader factory. One for the 29 would be very similar. I suggest that you do not reinvent the wheel, but buy a trailer made for your 29 by a reputable and experienced(with Ranger Tugs) trailer builder. Such as EZ Loader or Float On. Wefings in Apalachicola would be a good start to have one made for you. I am sure they could have it drop shipped to you.

I added 2 X material to the existing bunks to allow for cutouts for launching at sling lift facilities and still able to launch at ramps.

Good Luck

This looks good, and is what I think is the best set up, These are trailers set up for the 29 just different.
Thanks for the pictures 🙂

When buying a trailer for the R-29 make sure you get one designed specifically for the boat or you may find yourself over hight. I have the float on aluminum tri-axel and run 13' 2" on the highway. Not much room to spare.

Looking for plans for a Ranger Tug trailer or one for sale old one recked one for sale ?
