Hi All,
So grateful for this forum and the collective knowledge that has been so valuable to me during our 1st year of Ranger ownership. Thank you for that!
Couple quick questions....
We have a CB and use the upper helm quite a bit. With the Volvo system do you always have to put the transmission in neutral before switching stations? If so, I imagine they set it up this way for safety, but there are times when I have moved down below while underway and cannot control my speed until I run back up and shift into neutral and then back down again to engage the lower control station.
Also, I do not have a cockpit enclosure. What do you do with the holes in the cup holders so rainwater does not soak the storage area? This probably sounds like a dumb question but the problem is the water is soaking into the wood that forms the framework of my side cockpit storage areas and could rot it out. I could plug them up but don’t want to deal with cup holders full of water. Shouldn’t the factory have attached tubing to the cup bottoms and drained accordingly? Just curious about others’ ideas or solutions.
Lastly, has anyone plumbed a fresh water wash down on the R31CB?
