Does anyone have some pictures of a RT-31 Sedan Hard Top with a cockpit enclosure? We are on the Chesapeake Bay, and would like to enclose our cockpit. My understanding is that King Marine Canvas has done a few, but the pictures on their website are very few.

We have an 2018 R31 Sedan with enclosure by King Canvass. We are very pleased with the design and workmanship. It is not entirely rain proof -- but no "tent" is. We avoid the drips and sit out in it some rainy evenings. It holds the heat pretty well, so we can leave cockpit door open most of the time. We roll up the sides prior to underway for both line handling (and the potential crew in the water) and to prevent trapping CO. PM us if you would like pictures.

Can you describe more fully ... "It is not rain proof..." ?

I've had two full cockpit enclosures made by Dave's King Marine Canvas and none have caused water to seep through to the cockpit. My current enclosure is on my R27/OB and not a drop of water gets into the cockpit. One trick is to ensure the roof canvas is taught and has no dips that water can collect in. On my R-21EC the top did have a slight dip and water would collect in it, but no water ever seeped through. The canvas used is supposed to be water proof and from my experience it is.

The only place I've seen water seep into the cockpit is when taking a lot of water over the boat with some making its way through the slight gap been the cabin side and the gusset strip, and even then its minimal.
