Does anyone know the R31CB bridge clearance with mast up?

Should be about 17.5 feet depending on load

Lee is correct it is 17' 5" with the mast up.

Thanks Guys
We took delivery on a used 2014 R-31CB and found out the hard way it is over 17'
Cold day, both in cabin, no on on top, high tide into a 17' bridge, mast is bent.

We also found out that the mast is quite high on a R31CB. The railroad bridge into Washington, DC has no tide marker boards so it is a bit of an seaman's eye based upon previous experience. We literally used to slowly approach while "measuring" with a stick. It is always a matter of inches with tide variation and one time we caught an unfortunate swell. Debris flew everywhere and we feared the worst. Fortunately the debris was decades of rust falling off the bottom of the bridge along with the lens cap off the top of the mast. Back at the dock I examined all components, restored the lens to the top of the mast and resolved to ALWAYS lower the mast now - regardless of tides for that bridge. I wish the mast was about a foot lower.

Anyone have experience straightening a R31 mast bent at spreader where wires enter?
Also has anyone shortened the mast?
Thanks Bill

If you make such risky voyages under bridges, perhaps a mast made of Fiberglas would be more appropriate or perhaps some spring mounted one. If a bridge is hit by a swell I would carefully examine the Fiberglas below the mast for cracks

Straightened top of mast almost straight.
With the help of a 2x4, 5/8 line and two friends.
Not permanent but should do for a couple of weeks.
then remove and see if local welder can patch.
