Hello! Running a 30ft Cutwater sedan and getting poor radar reception. I believe this is due to the paddle boards I have mounted above and riding bow high underway.

I'm considering moving my radar higher and angling it a bit down so it gets better forward reception while underway.

Any thoughts/suggestions?

Also I believe the radar is simply power and a Ethernet cable (man I hope so) so looking for suggestions on how to get some height on the radar.

Yes it is just Ethernet and power. You might check to see if you have any slack in line to your plotter before you get too involved. I don't know if you could couple another line to lengthen or not. Pulling new wire in a Tug is not something I want to do. Maybe it is easier in a cutwater.

From what I can tell it's not easy at all. I'm going to see if Garmin has extended cables. Cat6 is easy for me just need to figure out best way to extend power.
