Water has damaged the holly sole piece that is adjacent to the bed on the port side and foot. I would like to remove and replace the whole piece. What adhesive was used and will a wide scrapper blade in a sawsall motor lift it? It appears to be 1/4" plywood and is delaminating. I am thinking of using sheet vinyl teak and holly made by LonMarine. I had that in a previous boat for 15 years. It is 2mm or 80 mils thick. I would like to add an underlayment of 3mm to get the original thickness closer. LonMarine says it must be ridged not something on a role as foam or rubber. They can not recommend a product as install is not their forte and it has the potential to be a wet area due to previous leak and proximity to the shower door. They said that gluing it to the fiberglass would be fine except for the lower top surface esthetics if anyone even noticed. Any ideas would be appreciated. By the way, the water was running in past the compass. The thin layer of white silicone was allowing it to run over the silicone and around the compass housing, through the deck mounting hole and down the back side of the paneling. A tube of Petite Sealer fixed that(not 5200)
