Ranger 21 EC, 2013, ENGINE FLUSH

Would like to use the Fresh Water flush T for back flushing the raw water intake. With the engine Off and sea cock open, may I attach garden hose to clear any debris in the raw water intake? Pls confirm this will not damage the raw water pump or impeller. As always, Thx.

Don't do it! Unless you have a way to isolate the engine, you have a possibility the water pressure might hydro locking your motor!
A better way is to disconnect line at the T , and block with a fitting you can get at any hardware store.
This will eliminate any chance of water damage to your motor,
You could also put a valve in line for future use.

Ditto Bobs response! DO NOT FLUSH THE RAW WATER COOLING SYSTEM WITH GARDEN HOSE PRESSURE! Use my 5 gallon raw water flush method. It’s safe effective and does the job.
