When my wife and I were at the Seattle Boat Show it was rumored a 27 would be out soon. It would be the cabin of the 25 standard and the cockpit of the 25 SC. This sounded like the best of both worlds especially for a person like myself that will perform all my own maintenance. The only negative I heard (for me only) is that it will be wider. This means permits to haul. I've read the post on pulling the 29 around and realize it's not a huge issue but for me anyway its just annoying.

Has there been any word if this is myth or fact? I heard the price would be midway the 25 and 29 which sounds reasonable.

Can anybody offer any comments on working on the 29? I like the SC engine bay because I can access everything and still have a refreshment nearby while I do it. If I have to permit to haul and the 29 does not require extra joints in my arm or the donation of blood from cuts and scrapes to work on it I may as well go straight to the 29.

All thoughts and comments are welcome, I'm gearing up to buy something!

About a week ago I was looking at a R25SC. The dealer was on his cellphone with the factory at the same time. I asked the same question about the beam of the R27 and was told it was the same as the R25. We were also inquiring about the possibility of the R27's 180 HP engine being put in a R25SC. The answer was "no". 🙁

Good discussion on the C-Brats site about the new 27 (of all places! ).

Look here: http://www.c-brats.com/viewtopic.php?t= ... sc&start=0

According to Marc, the dealer at Wefings, it does not need a permit to trail and he believes he can find a two axle trailer to haul it. read the thread above.

Good luck, looks like a nice boat!

That was an interesting read on the new R27. Any more rumors for an R23?
