The Ranger Tug dealer I talked to last weekend at the Maine Boatbuilders Show said there's a new 27' model due out in April Anyone know anything more about it?
Quoted from C-Brat site
Surely some of us over here can comment on this.

The rumor from my secret sources is that the boat is a marriage of the Ranger 25 cabin and the larger cockpit of the Ranger 25SC. Undoubtedly, the factory engineering team will make additional improvements in manufacturing and amenities

Yes. We had ordered a Ranger 25 SC at the Seattle Boat Show in February and when we did a sea trial with Jeff he told us about the new 27'. It has the same salon as the older 25 and the new SC larger cockpit area. They include a 2 burner propane stove and oven, microwave, electro flush head and the head compartment is 8" bigger. We opted for the new 27 and delivery will be in June. He did say that there would be a model at the Anacortes boat Show in May. You might ask Jeff when the new brochure will be out for all the details. There could be more, but that is what I remember.

Another new model 😱 !!! Maybe it's time to build a "widebody" 21. Adding 18" of beam would be nice (If it's done as a "crabber", I'd buy my first new boat!, with a discount for my idea of course) 😀

My money would be on the new Ranger 23EC! Styled after the R-21 with possibly more interior seating. But the big change would be in the hull design: that being a semi-displacement with power to achieve 12 - 14 kt. cruise. Single Yanmar, of course. Where do I sign?

Way too fast for me... I might spill my drink! Besides, chips blow out of the bowl at 8 knots.

Although I must admit, I did try a boat that could do over 20 knots once but, I decided I couldn't afford the gold chains and my combover kept flopping to port!

I am with you Jack.....even though I do not have enough hair for a combover.....we have to keep our drinks upright.

I've been watching this. I think a 23 EC would be a great idea. Maybe less pricey the a
25SC which is is out
of my range and enough room to overnight on occasion.
I like the idea of a larger cabin and an ample cockpit.
Would make a great boat for those who think the 21 is too small for extended travel
and the 25 is too much boat.
My .02.

I'm hoping for an R23 too.
