Ranger 31-CB Upper Seat Question

Does the upper bench seat on Ranger CB-31 fold?
I know it can be lowered by removing the pins in the legs.
It seems like it should fold in half as we’ll but can’t seem to figure out how

On my R31, the backrest folds forward/down by just pushing on it. No latches or pins.

On our 2015 R31-Cb the upper helm seat folds forward without any latches (somewhat difficult to do at times).

Hey Fern,
Move behind the seat and push it forward and down, with equal weight distributed on both sides. You can even position your hands near the top hinge flanges. Spray a little silicone in the hinge and work them back and forth. Put a couple of paper towels down on each side under the seat before spraying to catch the drips ; ). The hinges can be a little "sticky" if they are not lubed and worked.

Seat musty not have been lowered in a while after penetrating lube and then lithium grease, were able to get seat to hinge forward,
