Ranger E21 EC fuel filters

Relatively new to Ranger Tug, bought mine (2006 R21 EC) in July 2023, figured I'd take it in for service and a once over at the beginning of a new season. Had a look to see what I may need for fuel filters and to my surprise the only one I can locate is the one on the engine. There is no fuel shut off valve or primary filter at the fuel tank. Judging by the manual there should be a primary fuel filter and shut off valve at the tank or were these only added on newer models?

I have a 2015. The primary filter is sort of tucked away under the left edge of the lift up cover that gives access to the fuel tank and storage. Follow the fuel line - it will lead you to it. The installation in my boat is very inconvenient. I had to loosen the mounting bracket to move the filter housing to get the filter out.

dropped it off at the mechanic and we followed back the fuel lines back to the tank and as suspected, no primary filter. Fuel lines are hard and getting brittle and starting to sweat a little so they will need replacing, may see about putting in a primary filter.
