She's here! Poppy's Legacy was delivered in time to make my dreams a reality. All throughout chemotherapy, I dreamed of the perfect boat and being in Roche Harbor for the 4th of July. And Ranger delivered in a big way! Poppy's Legacy IS perfect. Thanks to the entire Ranger family...from factory masters of building, to technical support geniuses , to sales division miracle makers, to the splendiferous Livingston family! You are ALL angels in my book!
Roche on the 4th it was! And WHAT A BOAT!! It is a rare occasion when reality exceeds your greatest expectations. The Ranger 29 has so many added details that only true boaters could have come up with. Poppy's Legacy can go completely off the grid. She has solar power and a water-maker. And the comfort! How do I describe my little haven? We had 8 people cooking, drinking and partying on the 4th. And everyone fit! How do you accomplish that on a 29 foot boat? The design is so fabulous, it's just pure genius! From the bow cushions, to the stern "patio" enclosure, to the dining area...it all just WORKS. Our guests made scallops in the oven, my son used the BBQ, friends made risotto on the stovetop while I made salad in the galley.
I DO have one problem with the boat, though. My husband, who wasn't interested in commanding the boat won't leave the helm! He was stuck there, like glue, and has been since delivery. He jumped at the chance to drive from Anacortes to Roche. I finally got my chance when we went to Oak Bay, Canada. We enjoyed water like glass and a whole pod of whales. The sushi in Oak Bay isn't bad, either.
So I'm LIVIN' my dream and hubby has joined in. Any of you guys out there who want to get a fabulous boat but the spouses aren't "on board" (pun intended) with the idea, take em to visit a Ranger. You'll get the boat. You may never see the helm!
Love to all of you from Roche,
Harmony
