I gotta say... there are lots of great boats out there at Trawlerfest this weekend in Anacortes... but those Ranger Tugs are stealing the show! There are LOTS of people crowding around them. They seem to grab everyone's attention. They're just so darn cool. I had heard lots of chit chat about the North Pacific Yachts 28... how they are a much cheaper equivalent to the R 29. Had to check it out for myself. Bottom line: they don't hold a candle to the Ranger Tug. It's not just the general appeal
of the R 29, it's the silhouette, the sophisticated interior design, the room for guests to sleep, the amazing amenities that come standard... and let's not forget those magical thrusters. I saw those babies in action today. And I love that Ranger manufactures in the U.S. Too many jobs have been lost to foreign competition; North Pacific Yachts happens to make their 28 in China. How many products have you bought lately that are made in China that are real quality?
If the R 29 price tag is too steep, I wouldn't jump ship (pun intended) yet. I'd consider the new R 27. It's quite impressive. All the bells and whistles of an R 29, just a tad smaller. Even has that aft berth for kids or guests that I didn't even find on much larger boats that I toured today. BTW, I had a chance to go out in the R 21. That baby handles like a charm! I'd even be happy with one of those. Yep. I'm stickin' with Ranger Tugs. Nope. I'm not a dealer or a salesperson. I'm just a boat enthusiast who has found her perfect boat!

HEY ANDREW OR JEFF,

HOW ABOUT SOME PICTURES???!!!! PLEASE!!!

If you are anywhere within driving distance of Anacortes today, I'd recommend a trip to Trawlerfest! It's an opportunity to see the whole Ranger line up close and personal. It was great to be able to see and to compare. And they ALL look terrific!

Darn it -- missed this GTG. I had it on my calendar but somehow the alert message got away from me. I need to retire so my work responsibilities stop bugging me. 😉 I really really wanted to attend this show. Sorry to have missed it.... 🙁

Brenda and I had the pleasure of taking the 25SC out for a trial this morning (Sunday) . Bottom line, we loved it! A sturdy, weatherly, well behaved little vessel built with care by craftsmen. We were able to take a quick tour of the Ranger Plant on Wednesday. Even with everyone trying to get the boats up to Anacortes they took the time to show us around. Although we didn't get a chance to ride, we did go through the 27 and it looks like a sure winner.
Anyone remember the USS Defianton "Star Trek: First Contact"?

RIKER: "Tough little ship."
WORF: "LITTLE???"

Cheers all!

We were at the Trawler Fest and I must agree. The Ranger's stole the show. I must admit, I am biased. We have a 27 on order and expect arrival around the middle of July. We had an opportunity to go out on the 27 with Mac on Sunday and were very pleased. About a 2 ft. chop and a few big wakes and it was wonderful. Docking was incredible with the thrusters. Anyway, I did take some pictures which I will post, once I find out how to do that. The new additions that are standard on the 27 were impressive, i.e the desk set up behind the dinette, built in microwave, dish/glass storage over the dinette table, 19" TV/DVD swing down unit front center of the salon, Captains seat that swivels 90 degrees to face center, propane 2 burner stove and oven, electro flush head, very cool bowl in head and head 8" bigger length wise. I am sure that there are other changes that I don,t remember, but it was just great.

Hello to Charlie and Nancy up here in the good city of Bellingham! Do you have a slip in our beautiful marina? We are taking delivery of our 29 at the end of June and when you take delivery in July we could do some cruising together! I just LOVED the new 27! What color did you choose? Congratulations! And who cares if you are biased? Ranger Tugs are fabulous!

This posting is a week late but we just wanted to say how much we enjoyed attending the Anacortes Trawlerfest...and aren't we glad it was held last weekend when the sun was out. Many thanks to Jeff, Mac, John and other factory crew for their time and dedication to everyone who showed up to admire these beautiful Ranger Tugs. We know that a lot of time was spent just setting up for the Trawlerfest, not to mention the work involved after the show is over.

BTW, that new R27 is awesome.

Yes, this is the third boat that we've named R-MATEY
but never bothered with a license plate. However, a couple of years back
Rogerbum out of Kenmore (SeaDNA on the C-Brats site) posted that he'd
seen a license plate 'R-MATEY' and wondered if it was ours. Nice to know
that you're the owner. Good choice in a name. If you ever decide to 'retire'
this plate, please let us know. It'd be fun to have a matching license plate
to go with our 25SC
