I moved up from a R21 to an R25 which came with Raymarine gear. While I would have prefered Garmin electronics its not cost effective to change this system out.
Neither the book or the company has offered useful assistance on what I need to do to use the autopilot. The former owner did not use it so he was not able to provide assistance.
I know I have power to the master unit in the boat, I have power of course to the hand held unit. No matter what I have tried, I have no connection between the hand held and the stearing unit. The messages vary from NO PILOT, to Can not find network. I always have the Raymarine Chart plotter on, and have tried at various speeds over the water. It just appears that the master and remote never "see" each other.
Any suggestions?

BTW, I noted a similar R25 in Pass-a-Grille area with Raymarine gear, left a note but since that person is not registered on the map have not made contact.

I wonder if Andrew Custis can offer you any help with this. He may be able to give you a reliable Raymarine contact to speak with as an alternative. I would think Ranger Tugs has some leverage with Raymarine to get things working for you.

Just a thought... good luck.

BTW -- I have the Garmin autopilot and would not live without it -- it's great gadget to have and provide relaxing cruising.

Are you asking about the RM S100 remote or S1000 auto pilot?. Raymarine has all the manuals on their website for download. The S1000 is a very good autopilot for the price (that means it is far chaper than all others).

Try a search on S1000 on The Hull Truth website. There are many posts about this AP which discuss setup, wiring, pumps, etc.
