For all of us with the Raymarine Chartplotters, a reminder that if you register you equipment on line with Raymarine, you may get notifications of software updates.
I have been merrily enjoying my chartplotter and learned that my unit's software was a 2006 version, version 3.18 and the latest version is 4.29 that was released in April 2008. There have been about 6 updates since my version, so now I am catching up. The Raymarine website has all the step by step instructions on downloading the updates to your computer, transferring to them a Compact Flash card and then installing the updates from the card into your chartplotter. You can click around on your chartplotter and learn what version you have. The Raymarine site also tells you how to find the information on your chartplotter. I found that my unit must have sat on a shelf somewhere for some time before I got it.
