Looking to see if anyone can tell me how to get 12 volts to the cockpit hardtop on a 2012 29 for a camera. Camera is wireless for the signal but needs 12 volts for power.

Was also thinking about making a post that would mount in the flag bracket on the back of the tug for a camera. I could get 12 volts easily there.

Isn't there a "porch light" on the underside of the hard top?
I hardly ever use mine. I was thinking for a while of hooking in a camera there. When you want to use the camera just turn on the light.

Yes there is & that was one of the options I was thinking about. I need to change out the lamps for led to help keep the draw down. Light switch has a high & low option.

I believe those are already LED.

Just curious...are you using a camera that links with chart plotter or more of a backup camera with stand alone video? I have used a garmin camera that I control through chart plotter. Gives a great picture.

Matty,
Oooooh that would be awesome!
What type of camera did you use?
Any wiring details you’d be willing to share?
Thanks
Pat

My plan is to use a stand alone camera & move the screen between my truck (when I am towing ) & the tug.
