Hello

Wondering what solutions other have found for a rear view camera on a R31-CB. I’m not confident about routing wires back to the helm or the Gamin. Thanks in advance for your help!

I have recently installed this wireless camera on my 31cb. I glued magnetic tape to the cockpit roof just below the solar panel because the camera is magnet mount. It works very well and can be viewed with cell phone or iPad. I also installed the solar charger with velcro so they can be removed when not in use. Very simple installation and I am very pleased with the quality. No drilling or wiring to install.

Blink or battery-powered Ring cameras are another solution if you already have WiFi onboard that they can connect to

I purchased the Garmin GC-200, I have not installed the camera, but I have installed a pull line, which was pretty simple. You can remove the ceiling lights by prying them down, pulling down as many as you need to fish from the rear of the tug into the main cabin. In the main cabin, you can pull the refrigerator out and the wood channel above the refrigerator (countertop to ceiling) both are simple to remove, fish down the open channel into the back of the refrigerator chase from there it is simple to push the fish tape into the V-Berth starboard bottom cabinet to the NMEA Backbone and where you can mount any accessories needed for the camera.

While it may read complicated it is pretty simple with a second hand and a fiberglass fishtape.
