We are currently waiting for our new R 25 to arrive and bring her home on a trailer to stay while we’re not on the water. Do most people install a 30 amp dedicated receptacle or do most folks get by with a 20 amp receptacle and use an adapter for the power while the boat sits on the trailer? I’m assuming I’ll only be running one (maybe two) space heaters and keep the refrigerator running.

When I had a boat on a trailer a 20 amp circuit was fine. If I had it at home for any length of time I emptied the fridge of perishables. But even if you don't do that, the fridge is like 7 amps. Two small heaters could be set at 3 or 4 amps each. That puts you at 15 amps.

20 works fine for us

20 works fine for us on the trailer. We have even ran the AC off the 20 out on our dock with no problems.

We run our C-28 using a dedicated 20 amp outlet in our garage. We have 3 dehumidifiers, one True North automatic heater in the cabin and an automatic TwinTurbo heater in the engine compartment. The automatic heaters are set to come on when temps get below 38 degrees.
All other 12 volt appliances in the boat (e.g. refrigerator) are off.
When we tried to do this on a house circuit that shared the boat’s electrical load with a garage located floor freezer, it did trip the breaker. Having a dedicated outlet is the key.
Winter temps in our area frequently get down to 20 degrees.

In both our garages we have dedicated 30 amp circuits that have outlets for both marine and RV plugs. When wiring the garages it was not that difficult to do and I did not want to have deal with adapters on the ends of the power cords. The less adapters the simpler hookups and disconnects were. I view these as some of the smartest things I did to customize my garages spaces for the way I wanted to use them. I wish I had done floor drains, but it is too difficult and expensive to justify cutting up the concrete floors at this stage.
