Looks like I need to replace the aft bilge pump in my 2014 C28 Cutwater. Not that easy for this old guy to get down in there. Also unsure as to how it is mounted - I only see one screw on the starboard side. There also appears to be the float switch (?) that is no longer mounted/attached and I'm unsure where it goes. I'm concerned it will make contact with the shaft. Figure it would be best to throw money at it first time around :-(

Would prefer to have them come to the boat. I'm moored in the Edmonds Marina.

JonR, not sure what pump you have on board your boat, but most just click in or turn in from the base if the base is still mounted. If you go buy the same pump that your replacing you will see how it's put together. Being a old guy myself, weak mind, bad back, and all that comes with experience over the years. Might I recommend a bottle of good whiskey and a $50 Bill and offer to that young guy down the pier for a little help. He would appreciate the offer and would be a lot cheaper than a marine mechanic. Good luck. Bob

The aft bilge pump on my C30 is going to be replaced this week by a skilled and experienced Cutwater mechanic at the Edmonds Marina(E Dock)
Call me to discuss and I'll see it he's interested in an additional repair. He works off the clock for me and I pay him cash at $100/hr. Worth his weight in Gold.
