What are some marinas in Canada in the Sidney - Montague area and south to the Canadian border that you would recommend staying at for two nights each, for total of six days?
Is it too late to make reservations or can many squeeze you in if you show up. It would be two R29's during second week of June.

I have no answer to your question but I am interested on where you are talking about. Is this on the East Coast or the West Coast? I was exploring Google maps and there is a Sydney or Sidney on each coast.

I think I figured it out. You are talking about the southern Gulf Islands? If so then I am definitely interested as we are planning to be roaming around there the middle of July.

Port Browning or Poets Cove on Pender Island, not far from Montegue. Port Browning has a great pub and is about a mile from a grocery store. Port Sidney Marina is downtown Sidney. Van Isle is a few KM from downtown Sidney but has free bikes. Van Isle has the nicest bathrooms I’ve ever experienced. Ganges on Salt Spring Island has a few marinas and the Saturday market is great. Van Isle would be the only one you might not get into. Send me a direct message if you have any other questions.

Otter Bay on North Pender is nice. Choose a slip or a mooring ball, for an experience that suits you best. Fire pits, a small store, pool, showers etc. Grocery store is 5km away (by port browning) but they rent scooters or ebikes at the office.

My wife and I have enjoyed staying at Canoe Cove Marina north of Sidney. It is kind of funky and riding around all the surrounding small islands in the dinghy is terrific. Usually lots of Lion's Mane jellyfish to be seen in the water.

All good recommendations. I would add Genoa Bay Marina for one night. Have dinner at their restaurant and breakfast on the dock. Brentwood Bay Resort has a pool and it's a short dinghy ride to Butchart Gardens.
