Tugnuts,
I’m about to close on a 2022 RT27 NW and will be bringing it up to Alaska where it will live. The dealership and factory both supplied me with a comprehensive spare parts list but i’m curious if those with experience could suggest what specific spares are worth having on hand since I will be more remote. Any advice is helpful as I’d like to have a small kit onboard for just incase moments.

bhh2212,

Welcome to the world of Ranger Tugs. I brought a 2016 27' RT up from Anacortes in 2018 and keep it in Soldotna. With our world of the interweb and Amazon, spares and replacement parts have not been a problem. The VolvoPenta inboard parts will be a little different than what you will need for the outboard. I keep my onboard spares to a minimum for space/weight reasons. I carry the following onboard: primary and secondary fuel filters, water pump rebuild kit, crank case filter, oil filter, transmission filter, v-belts X 2 and liquids to top up as necessary. In the 5 years and 700 hours I've put on the engine, I have never had to use any of the spares while on the water or even top up fluids. I order a set of consumable spares each winter and use the onboard spares in the Spring to do my annual PM's and restock my onboard spares inventory.

I keep a set of anodes and products to buff and wax the fiberglass in my garage. Your data says San Antonio. I live in the Dallas area and spend the Summers in Soldotna, Seward, Homer, Whittier. The beauty of a trailerable boat!
