The pilot seat bracket support has pulled out from the base of the refridgerator. It was held on by two screws instead of thru bolts. To install nuts and bolts I must remove the refridgerator...it looks like removing 4 screws will enable me to slide the reefer out to get to the inside of the panel to install nuts, backing plate, etc. Is this correct or is there more to it????

Hello Curt

The 4 screws are all there is to it. Slide it out. Disconnect the two wires supplying DC power...mine has plenty of slack so you can easily slide out the fridge, disconnect the power, then set it on the engine box.

4 screws is what I also understand is all that's necessary for removing the refrigerator. If you have difficulty moving the refrigerator from the pilot house to the cockpit via the sliding door then remove the refrigerator door first.

Good to know, thanks. The wood screws into the bottom of our pilot seat have stripped out so I will also remove the fridge this winter and refit the top and bottom of the seat/support with s.s. bolts/nuts.

I epoxy'd in a piece of hard wood behind and then screwed it back together.

Thank you all for the info....the operation was a complete success at about one hour time involvement..as a bonus, I discovered a pack of wiper blades behind the reefer!!!!! Thanks All..
