Relocating Spotlight to bow rail or mast on my 2013 31CB

Has anyone attempted or accomplished this? I find the factory location almost useless, but with no owners manual I'm in the dark on how to route the wiring.
Yes I have the wiring schematic and a new spotlight, but I don't know the route power takes to the mast, and the rail ends appear to be blocked when I try to run fish tape thru them from the bottom.
 
An easier fix may be to add a new spot with a wireless remote where you want it. Then you only need to run power. I have thought about this and stealing power from the windless. Just getting the wires hidden is the issue.
