Remove Oil Fill Cap

I can not remove the oil fill cap on my new Volvo Penta D4 320hp engine. I don’t believe it has ever been removed since factory install. Is there any suggestion or a special tool to remove the cap? I see there are tools advertised on line, but not clear as to size, etc.

I had the same problem the first time last summer when i tried to remove the cap of my Volvo D4 on my new R-31. I warmed the engine up to normal operating temperature, put a rag over the cap, and gave it a few moderate taps with a rubber mallet. It was than able to come off. I put a very light coat of automotive high temperature wheel bearing grease on the inside of it and it has been fine ever since.
