Apparently there is a common problem with the Raymarine units where the transformers that power the fluorescent backlighting burn out - I’ve got the problem. There is a very good YouTube video that shows how to replace the transformers and tubes with LED’s. It’s fairly involved but doable. However, the video shows disassembling the unit once it is removed from the boat. It shows one must remove the front bezel from the back side of the unit. Mine is not installed per the manual so rather than removing nuts on the backside of the unit and lifting it out, Ranger has used screws driven into the wood frame. But to access the screws, one must remove the bezel. The only real access I have to the bezel edge is at the bottom of the display from the front, not the back.

Has anyone removed the E120 (without damaging the bezel) and can give me some pointers?
