I can't see what area's you are talking about. A picture of the issue would help. The Rangers and Cutwaters that I have been onboard including my boat have fiberglass galley counter tops. The surface is Gelcoat. Scratches are removed with light compounding. Stains and water spots are removed from the same products that you use to clean the top sides and Hull.
We keep a rubber mat next to the sink on the counter top to protect a small working area of the counter top. The worst culprit is opening cans goods with a can opener on the counter top.
