Replace light switch in R29-CB Head with 3-way rocker?

I have to replace one of the lights in the head of our R29-CB, so I asked the parts team for replacement info. They sent me a link to a site where I can buy the light and I see an option for a red/white light, but it requires a 3-way rocker switch. Is it possible to replace the regular light switch in the head with one like the wipers, anchor/nav, and cockpit lights have so I could choose regular or red light? I’d replace the other lights in the head as well. Any middle of the night trips to the head should be less “bright” for others if red were an option. Anyone already done this and have any link suggestions for switches? My searches are not turning up anything other than bilge pump switches and other switches that look like they couldn’t possibly work in the head. Thanks!

I am pretty sure you will need three wires running from the fixture to the switch. One would be a ground and the other two power, one for red light, the other for the white light. If you can snake it through you will be golden. The other option may be carry a red flashlight. :lol:

Close the door, and then flip the lights ON would be my solution.

I'm with Barry. The simple solution is to close the door. But another solution is to tap one of the control buttons on your Techma toilet flush switch. It will light up with a dim blue light and illuminate the very object you might be interested in (the toilet, or at least the part you don't want to miss).
