Replacement for Volvo Penta D3-200

I know Ranger has used various engine brands in your inboard boats. Our Volvo Penta D3-200 in our 2017 R-27 has died. We are having trouble locating a replacement. I don’t suppose you have a surplus one just lying around or know of one that’s available? Where might we look for one? Would a D3-220 be a possible replacement/upgrade?

Hello,

First of all, I am sorry to hear that the engine has failed this early in its life. After switching to outboards in 2017, we haven't had an inventory of the D3's since that time. I know that stock of any engine is quite tough right now but, if you can locate a 220HP D3, it should be the exact footprint of the one you have installed and would work just fine in the R27. Have you reached out to Pacific Power Group in Kent, WA to check their availability?
