Has anyone replaced their hatch seals? The small hatch in the head is compressed enough that it doesn't seal well and the latch is not adjustable. I've got a new seal on the way. The seal comes in continuous lengths. I'm getting 6'. The seal is a peel and stick application. Curious if anyone has attempted this repair in the past. How hard is it to get the old seal off, etc.

Thanks,

I've replaced 2 on the RT25C. Now I need to remove the hatch frame and seal around it. I have a couple of very small leaks on the monkey fur...

I replaced a hatch on my Catalina. I used butyl tape as a bedding compound. Not sure what RT used to bed their hatched.

They actually use EPDM tape that can be purchased at Home Depot. It is used on the windows as well. I have replaced a couple on mine and also helped a couple of other tugs replace the window seals. What I have found is that either the initial installation was incorrect or the material shrunk over time and the area compromised was around the bend.

My Tug is 10, so a few leaks and mechanical issues are OK. Impressed how well most of the Vessel is constructed and the choice of parts was great. Access SUCKS! Always a price to pay for a Compact...Merry Christmas
