There is some controversy as to whether they are group 30 or 31. But apparently either will fit the tray. Here is a recent thread discussing R-31 battery configuration:

Just to note but beyond the size there's also the capacity, connector type and recharge characteristics to consider. I recently changed out my batteries on my R29 CB as described in the link below which may be useful for you to review.
