Retro fit A/C on R23

Anybody done a retro fit a/c on an R23 equiped with Webasto diesel heater, but no a/c. Have tried all the evap coolers, but none are efficient in humid northeast climate. Fans cant cut through the heat and humidity in the cabin. Don’t want to be a wimp, but some days that are beautiful outside, are very stuffy inside!
Thanks for help and recommendations. p.S., dont want to spend 6-8k on ‘factory’ retrofit.

I went this route, it's more than enough to cool my C30... not the most elegant solution, but I can move it on/off the boat and use it only when needed.
