My C28 is on its trailer connected to shore power. For the longest time the reverse polarity light kept coming on when I turned on the circuit breaker to charge the batteries. There is also a polarity light in a cabinet under the microwave that was on. I checked the shore receptacle and the 120V receptacles on board, and all were fine. I researched the problem, but came up empty. Finally, a friend with a background in marine electrics told me I was over thinking the problem. "Just connect a ground wire from the rudder to the building ground." Sure enough, the problem went away.
