I have a 2015 C-28 and coming home from the Margaritaville gathering at Roche Harbor my port windshield wiper stopped working. I turned off the switch and the motorhead still became too hot to touch (as in really hot) I had to pull the power on the switch from the panel in the head to get it to cool down. Has anyone had a windshield wiper fail/get too hot to touch? Just curious as to other experiences with these.

I had a motor burn out. For some reason it jammed in the down position. The problem that then happened was that the park fuse was not small enough ( 20 amps was installed) and instead of blowing out, the motor wiring burned. No fire, but had to get a new motor. I also changed the park fuse to the recommended size, 5 amps.

If you have two speed wipers, contact ranger tugs, they have a bulletin on that.
