Rocker stoppers

Going to be anchoring on back side of Catalina next month and may be dealing with some swell at anchor. Anyone use rocker stoppers and if so, do they make a difference? What weight mushroom anchor should I use for my 31

We tried rock stoppers on our R27 with very minimal benefit. We just had them tied off the side of the gunnel. I think they may have worked better if we had then a few feet out to the sides.Maybe they could be installed onto our downrigger booms. We have not tried them on our R31.
As far as weight we used a 15lb downrigger cannon ball which is probably overkill.
