We’ve been using Rocna anchors for the past 12 years and want to do the same on our ordered R25OB. With that said has anyone put a Rocna on there R25OB? If so did you install the 10kg/22lb or the 15kg/33lb? Did it fit without any modifications to anything? Appreciate your responses.

Jim - I don't know if the 25OB suffers the same design flaw (my opinion) as the R23, but if you have no access to remove or replace your bow roller, you should have them install an inspection plate during the build. Much easier to do that in the factory than afterwards. That allows you to get behind the anchor locker and to the bow roller. At some point, the bow roller will likely fail.

I would also suspect that the stock bow roller could be beefier. I would have them change that out to one that fits the Rocna better. I got a Mantus Bow Roller and happy with the wider rollers to handle the anchor. I wish I knew better, but hey, now I have a spare anchor on the boat and a wimpy bow roller in my shop.

Rocna also has a sizing chart for anchors. https://rocna.com/fitment-guide/ I suspect the 10 is large enough for the 25OB because it was bigger than needed for the R23. I have anchored in 100 feet of water in the middle of the Strait of Juan de Fuca on that anchor in a 2+ knot tide change.
