roof hatch cleaning

Our R27 is over 5 years old and the exterior white part of the roof hatch rims had become less then new looking. I have tried magic eraser and other cleaners to bring them back to there bright clean white appearance but nothing I used worked. I mention this in case others have experienced the difficulty of keeping this part of there boat clean looking. Today I used a "Clorox Cleaner + Bleach". A small spray of the product on the white surface and then a light scrub with a soft bristle brush, wipe off and rinse with water brought the hatch covers back to new looking condition. Hope this helps others needing to do the same.

Hi Jim, You may want to treat the surface with some carnauba wax. This will reduce the pores into which the dirt and mold will lodge into. Rub it in then buff it.

Great Idea Jim, we used this stuff on our RV awning as well when it get's out of control, looks like new afterward...

Thats AliceJ about the suggestion of applying some wax over the cleaned surface.
