Is it possible to route coax or jacketed marine grade wire from mast to the behind-helm electronics bay in an R31S?

It is a pain in the butt like most improvements. Remove the post to the right of the helm along with the wood trim above it, and remove the wood cover on the ceiling to expose access. This will expose all of your access points. To add a hailer we also had to drill a new access point.

Have fun.

If the wire is a replacement wire and you can not get the existing wire out for any reason you can cut the existing wire, add a connector to it and the end of the new wire. You may be adding a new device so obviously this idea would not work for that.....but if it was say a VHF antenna, which I had to replaced on our R29S, this method came in handy as I could not get the original wire out of its tucked in routed hideout.
