RT 31cb - Caulking project

I am currently removing the caulk around the "stairway" module that goes from the cockpit to the CB.
My current plan is to use "3M 4000 UV" caulk as the bead is exposed to sunlight. And the previous bead turned black.
Is that the caulk people use as well?

You may want to check on the applicability of a Sika product, as well. Both 3M and Sika have UV appropriate offerings. I have used both company’s products.

Ok, thank you... I did read that the Sika is a good brand. I also read that the 3M 4000 UV (which I bought, and am planning on applying today) had some bad batch issues a few years ago... nothing is perfect... the job of scraping it out is hell on earth... so I hope it holds up. Thanks Serendipity.
