We have a 2018 RT 31 CB. I noticed that there is a release arm located below the main dinette table. When you release it, it allows the table to move horizontally between the two seats. It appears to serve no purpose since the table has to be in a specific position to allow it to be lowered and turned into a berth. Does anyone know what the function of this lever is?
Thanks

Hi Marnis, I have noticed the same on our 31. I have tried multiple times to move it and just given up. I haven't explored it that closely but it definitely does not move easily.

If you cruise with children on board, it can be helpful to move the table farther from the adults, and closer to the children while eating. Some adults may just want more room between themselves and the table.

We bring the table closer to the grandkids to keep them from dropping too much food on the floor. Also, when someone is sitting in the front seat facing forward, having the table top setting aft slightly will stop that seat from striking the tabletop. There is a bit of flex in that seat depending on the size of the adult sitting in it and action of the vessel in high seas.
