Hi all.

Our power panel in the cave does not light up at all. Volt meter doesn't display and none of the green lights will light up when outlets, etc. are turned on. This is with both House and Engine power switches set to on.

Engines goes up and down, starts and runs fine, Garmin works. All of that.

Overhead lights come on, but no outlets work, regardless of what is turned or or off on the switch panel.

Thoughts on why my power panel is not working? Is there a breaker or fuse just for this panel?

Any help is appreciated.

Are you plugged in? do you have power at the shore power connection? Everything you mentioned that works is all 12 volt dc I believe.

We don't have shore power. Marina has been without power since Hurricane Isaias in August (hope to have power restored soon).

But shouldn't the outlets work from the inverter and/or the voltage meter display our battery levels?

Thanks.

We don’t have an inverter on our 23 so I can’t address that issue. We either use shore power or a generator to power everything. It’s possible your batteries may not have enough voltage to power the inverter to run the 110 volt appliances but have enough power to run the 12 volt dc appliances. If there’s anyway to get 110 power to your boats shore connection it could answer some questions.

Your question about whether or not the outlets should work begs the question: Have you turned the inverter on? If you don't have shore power, and you're just working on the 12v side... I don't believe the panel lights up at all. I could be wrong, but the only time I see any "lights" on the panel is when we're plugged into shore power, and/or if we've turned the inverter on, and switched the main "inverter" input switch to the "on" position.

I am probably outing my initial ignorance here... but I didn't know the inverter wasn't 'on' all the time. I had to be on the hook (my first time in this boat, with an inverter and not a generator) and find nothing working on the A/C side to realize I had to do some reading on how the inverter works.... thankfully I have all info aboard! Luckily, I found how/where to turn the inverter on, and viola! Power!

Just a thought....
