Hello,

We dont have a specific weight rating for the platform on the 2014 R31, however I would ask what you are planning on doing? I would say you should be safe up to 300-400lbs, the platform is reinforced in areas mainly for the platform supports. Hope this helps.

If everything goes as planned, sometime in April we’ll close on a “new to us “ 2014 RT31S.
So I’ve just been thinking ahead on extended cruising trips we’d like to take, the items we may want to take along with us and where and how to store them.
Nothing specific yet other than adding davits for the dinghy that is included. I am not sure of its weight yet, but expect it to be around 100-110 lbs when including the 3.5 hp engine which is currently stored on the swim platform rail. Adding in the propane and a small gas Jerry can will take the total up to 150-160 or so I suppose.
So at most we might be able to add another 100 lbs or so comfortably.

That sounds about right. One thing to note is that the swim step goes down into the water at higher speeds, and a lot of water splashes up and around it at most speeds (esp. high speeds). So expect anything there to get wet.
