rudder/ hyd piston connection

2008 R25 just noticed the large nut at the piston rod and sleeve for rudder was loose. tightened it but there is a small pin
the size of a large cotter pin near the rudder that seems to be half way out. I tapped on it but no movement. What is it for and does it need fixing?

Here’s what my 2008 looks like. I don’t know what that pin is near the pivot point. It doesn’t look like it moves. Hope that helps.

Looks very similar. I tightened the nut moderately so should be alright. Thanks for posting the picture.
